Responsibilities:
- Provide companionship and emotional support by participating in conversations and recreational activities
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for your customers
- Assist clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), such as light housework and meal preparation
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as assigned
- Monitor and report any changes in your client’s condition to our healthcare team
- Willingness to learn new skills to better serve your customers
Qualifications:
- A genuine desire to help others and improve their quality of life
- Compassionate, empathetic, patient and understanding
- Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, medical assistance and/or nursing care is a Plus!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to speak and write in English.
Other languages will be an advantage
- A negative criminal background check and vulnerable sector check issued within the last 90 days
- Reliable transportation and flexibility to work multiple shifts, including nights and weekends
