We are currently looking for a Healthcare Assistant to join our team, responsible for hands-on personal care services, medication administration, light housekeeping and assisting with meal service, as well as participation in social-recreational activities.

Responsibilities: Perform light housekeeping tasks in resident suites and common areas. Support personal care activities; dressing, bathing, incontinence Simple transfers Respond to medical emergencies in a calm manner Assists with laundry and resident meals as needed Follow care plans and report any changes or concerns Work with residents to meet care requirements Demonstrate continued competence utilizing knowledge, skill, judgment, and evidence-based practice in the care of older adults is vital in this role Ensure compliance with standards, legislation, codes, regulations and statutes for employment and safety of long-term care health services Demonstrate awareness of preventing accidents and injuries through safe work practices and procedures Other duties as assigned to support operational requirements Qualifications and experience Completion of provincial health care certification Registered on the provincial health registry Completion of administration course of medications Demonstrate infection control procedures Exceptional interpersonal skills with colleagues, residents, visitors and operating partners Superior organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple – resident requests Superior oral and written communication skills Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and resolve problems Flexibility to work multiple shifts Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, crouch, kneel, and lift 25 pounds Displays compassion, politeness, proficiency, and experience in helping residents Conditions of Employment Completion of CPR and Firsts aid Clear police information Verify Clear vulnerable sector Verify proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
